How to gain new abilities in Path of Exile from Chasel Habakkuk's blog

In order to gain new abilities in Path of Exile, you'll typically need to place gems into sockets in your equipment. However, buy poe items have stat and level requirements that must be met by all classes in order to use them. Gems can only be equipped in slots that are the same color as the POE Item Simulator they are replacing. These suggestions should get you started on the road to reclaiming your homeland and exacting vengeance on those who forced you to flee. Another point to consider: if you're having trouble with the game on your own, you can usually recruit a friend or a player from your town to assist you. Don't take your exile lightly!

Path of Exile, as we stated in our review, is one of the best Diablo-style action-RPGs currently available. In addition, it is completely free to play on Xbox One and Steam. The microtransactions are also unusually fair, so you won't have to spend any money to be successful. For those who wish to help the developers, there are several optional microtransactions to choose from, including limited edition premium bundles and other limited edition items.

There are two types of gems: precious and semiprecious.
Skill gems include the following:These can be used to add an attack, spell, projectile, or trap/mine to your game. Supporting gems include:When equipped in a linked socket (a socket that has a line drawn connecting it to another socket), these gems modify skills that are supported by the socket. In order to have an effect, the support gem must be compatible with the gem in the linked socket. For example, a support gem that has an effect on projectiles will have no effect on a linked melee attack gem. Check that the gems you've linked are compatible! Equipped gems also level up as you gain experience points, with each gem receiving ten percent of the base experience points awarded from monster kills. When your character returns to lower-level areas, he or she suffers an XP penalty; however, this penalty does not apply to gems. By replaying areas that are a few levels lower than your current level, you can level gems quickly.

Don't take every single piece of loot you come across.
Every piece of loot you obtain takes up a different amount of space in your inventory. In order to transport as many items as possible at the same time, you must rearrange items and squeeze items into the available space. Even if you do not pick up every single item you see, your bag will quickly become overflowing if you do so. If your character can't use an item or if the item is worthless, the trick is to ignore it. The color of an item indicates its rarity:White represents normalcy, blue represents magic, yellow represents rarity, and orange represents exclusivity.

Except if you're about to head back to town and have plenty of room for them, you can pretty much ignore white items. Rarer items are usually worth picking up and selling, even if it means keeping them for a longer period of time. As a matter of course, any item that is visually superior to your current gear should be obtained – even if it means temporarily abandoning something else in order to equip it.

Don't ignore the importance of life and mana regeneration.
Characters do not regenerate life by default, but they do regenerate a small amount of mana every second. By using the appropriate type of flask, you can manually replenish your life and mana. When you visit a town or a hideout, the flask charges automatically refill. They can also gain charges by killing their opponents. Equipping better flasks increases the amount of life or mana that can be recovered, as well as having other effects.

Even so, if you only rely on flasks for life and mana, you'll have a difficult time. Gear and passive skills can increase regeneration for either stat, and they can even steal life and mana from enemies when they hit them or kill them. It is critical to consider the life- and mana-restoring properties of your gear in order to maintain your health and mana pool. You should have at the very least some life regeneration so that you can regain health between battles.
